Witnesses were left terrified as the duo drove towards two teenagers on e-scooters, spurring them to flee for safety. As the drama unfolded, a heroic bystander intervened during the taxi scuffle, only to be met with violence himself.

While the court couldn’t pinpoint their exact motives, drug influence was a suspected catalyst. Sadly, these incidents aren’t isolated. Romans, 49, has a long history of offences, with a staggering 159 convictions, whilst Chichester, 28, also holds numerous past offences, including a violent attack on a former partner.

In court, both men admitted to various charges, including robbery and burglary. Romans was sentenced to 7.5 years and Chichester to 7 years. They’ll serve two-thirds in custody before being released on licence.

A night of recklessness that shook Barry, leaving residents wondering just how such chaos could unfold in their community. 🤔
