A terrifying incident unfolded as Shaun Davies, 37, left his partner fearing for her life. During a heated argument, Davies shockingly lifted his partner off the floor by her neck, threatening her with the chilling words, “snitches get stitches.” Living in fear, his partner was initially afraid to contact the police. The couple had been together for two years when things took a dark turn.

The court heard how Davies, of Wick, Vale of Glamorgan, became aggressive when his partner started crying during an argument. He picked her up by the throat, leaving her terrified and thinking she might die. Despite the violent encounter, Davies callously brushed off the incident, showing no remorse.
Following his arrest on February 20, after breaching bail conditions, Davies bombarded his partner with up to 500 phone calls a day, intensifying her ordeal. Judge Daniel Williams, recognising the severity, sentenced Davies to 21 months in prison and imposed an eight-year restraining order.

With a history of harassment, including previous convictions, Davies showed a pattern of abusive behaviour. Despite claims of personal struggles, including the loss of a sister and being a carer, the court held him accountable for his actions.
