🚨 Cling Film Fails and a Price to Pay 🚨

Two men in Bridgend thought they’d outsmart the police by tossing cling film wraps out of their car window. But that quick move wasn’t enough to hide what was inside—heroin worth up to £4,500. 🚔

Meet Paul Hughes, 48, and Jonathan Walters, 47. Both admitted that heroin has “blighted their lives,” leading them to deal drugs to repay mounting debts. Their plan came crashing down when they were stopped on May 27, with police finding the thrown stash. 📱 Messages found on Hughes’ phone further revealed their involvement in the drug trade.

In court, it was revealed that Hughes’ struggle with addiction began at 20, with tragic life events only adding to his troubles. His barrister detailed the toll drugs have taken on his life, from losing a child to having his leg amputated. Walters shared a similar story of addiction after an injury ended his career as a mechanic.
Judge Rhys Rowlands handed them both a three-year prison sentence. It’s a harsh reminder that desperate measures often lead to dire consequences. ⚖️
