Areas around Llanelli, including Llangennech, Pwll, and Burry Port, aren’t out of the woods just yet, with the Gwendraeth Fach and Gwendraeth Fawr catchments being especially vulnerable.
Natural Resources Wales has cautioned that flooding of low-lying land and roads is already happening, and river levels are above normal. They’re keeping a close watch on the situation, so stay tuned for updates. 🏞️
A total of 21 areas in Wales might be affected by this turbulent weather, including Swansea, Cardiff, and Pembrokeshire. Residents are warned about potential flood risks to homes, disruptions to transport, and the possibility of building damage.
In Llanelli, Many Tears Animal Rescue has unfortunately been hit hard by significant flooding over the past day. Our hearts go out to them and all affected. ❤️
Ironically, this comes right after a balmy summer spell, with the weather now being all over the place—sunshine one minute, and downpours the next! ☀️💦
