🥫 Who knew beans could spark such a debate? In a surprising twist, budget-friendly tins have outshone the big names in a recent taste test! 🌟

Which? put 12 varieties of baked beans to the ultimate test, bringing together bean enthusiasts to rate their favourites. Spoiler: Aldi and Lidl emerged victorious, beating out the iconic Heinz! 🏆

Aldi’s Bramwells Beans and Lidl’s Newgate Beans, priced at just 40p for a 410g tin, scored an impressive 77%. Testers loved their rich tomato sauce and perfect balance of flavour. Who says you need to spend big for great taste? 👏
Heinz, while still a fan favourite, just missed out with a score of 76%. Despite being pricier at £1.40, it still nabbed a “Best Buy” nod from the testers. But hey, if you can get similar flavours for a fraction of the cost, why not save some pennies? 💷
Branston beans took third place, and although they’re more wallet-friendly than Heinz at £1, they couldn’t quite match the top picks’ price and flavour combo.
In the world of baked beans, it seems the underdogs have stolen the show. So next time you’re in the supermarket aisle, maybe give the budget beans a whirl – your taste buds and wallet might thank you! 😋
