šāØ Wales’ rugby stars shine bright at the annual awards ceremony! āØš

Jac Morgan, the powerhouse of the field, has been crowned the Welsh Rugby Writers Association’s Men’s Player of the Year once again! After shouldering immense pressure with grace, especially during the victorious British and Irish Lions series in Australia, it’s no surprise he’s scooped this prestigious accolade at the Principality Stadium. Joining the ranks of Welsh legends like Gareth Edwards and Shane Williams, Morgan is now a two-time winner of this honour. š

Reflecting on the past year, Jac shared, “It was a good year, I enjoyed it and Iām really pleased to win this award. Tough games, but seeing the boys win in Japan was chuffed!ā He also opened up about his amazing journey with the Lions, emphasising the friendships and skills he gained. š
The young talent Blair Murray didn’t go unnoticed either, as he snagged the Men’s Young Player of the Year award after making waves since his move from New Zealand. Initially expected to play a minor role for the Scarlets, Murray quickly became a Wales regular, donning the national jersey in 10 caps. He’s grateful and excited to build on his incredible first season! šš„
For the women’s team, co-captain Kate Williams took home the Liza Burgess award. Despite a tough World Cup, Kate remains optimistic. “I’m loving playing my rugby, and it showed in the Six Nations. We’ve had challenges, but we’re building a strong team,” she said. Williams continues to inspire with her passion and resilience. šŖ
And let’s not forget Newport’s Jac Lloyd, who was hailed as the Super Rygbi Cymru Player of the Year, leading the Black and Ambers to a triumphant SRC title! š„³
A massive congratulations to all our rugby stars ā your hard work and dedication make Wales proud! šš
