Get ready, Swansea! The iconic Swansea Bay 10K is back this Sunday, 14th September, marking its impressive 44th year. With a stunning coastal route from Mumbles Road to Swansea Promenade and back, it’s set to attract around 4,000 runners of all levels aged 15 and over. Keep an eye out for Swansea Council’s deputy leader Andrea Williams, who’s running following her Parkinson’s diagnosis.

To make way for this massive event, several road closures are set, starting as early as 5:30 am on race day. Key roads, including Mumbles Road and Brynmill Lane, will see closures and access restrictions to ensure everyone’s safety. Boats will be lifting again around 1:30 pm as the event wraps up and all those fabulous runners cross the finish line.

Residents near Mumbles Road, especially those on the seafront, might need to make a few adjustments to their Sunday plans. Diversions will be in place to keep traffic flowing smoothly, with access maintained for emergency vehicles at all times.

So, whether you’re running, cheering with the crowd, or navigating the roads, let’s make this a memorable event for everyone involved! 🏃♂️🏃♀️📣
