Tragedy in Essex as two XL Bullies claim the life of 68-year-old Esther Martin. Chelmsford Crown Court heard that Ms Martin was considered by Warren to be suitable to handle Bear. Under the Dangerous Dogs Act, an owner can defend themselves if they believed a person left with the dog was suitable and responsible. The jury must decide if Warren’s belief was reasonable.
