🚨 Tragic Accident on M5: A pedestrian has sadly lost their life after a collision involving two lorries this morning between junctions 13 and 14 on the M5, south of Gloucester. 🚔
Emergency services were on the scene at around 11:40am, but tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead. Our thoughts are with their family, who are being supported by specially trained officers. 💔
The northbound lane of the M5 remains closed for a thorough investigation, so motorists are advised to plan alternative routes. 🚗❌ The southbound side has reopened, but expect delays as traffic adjusts.
Drivers of the lorries were checked by paramedics and, thankfully, aren’t believed to be seriously injured. If you witnessed the accident, please get in touch with the local police online.
