A major accident has led to the closure of the A487 Porthmadog Bypass in both directions. The tragic incident occurred around 9pm on Saturday night and unfortunately, it’s being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision.
Police are on the scene and expect the road to remain closed for a while. Traffic is being redirected, so if you’re travelling in the area, please follow the signed diversion routes. Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan has expressed deep condolences to the families affected and thanks everyone for their patience.
