Tragic news from Wales as a person has sadly lost their life near the train tracks on the Cambrian Line in Newtown, Powys. This heartbreaking incident occurred just before 3pm on Wednesday. British Transport Police, along with Dyfed-Powys Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service, were quick to respond to the scene, but unfortunately, the individual was pronounced dead.
An investigation is currently underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding this incident. Due to this, train services faced delays and cancellations between 3pm and 8pm, but Transport for Wales has confirmed that services are back on track as of Thursday morning.
