In a heartbreaking case, Paul Knight has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife, Isobella “Izzy” Knight, a talented artist and beloved mother. This horrifying event took place while their children, aged six and three, were sleeping in their Northamptonshire home.
Izzy, who was cherished for her warmth and talent, had been enduring controlling behaviour and abuse from Knight. Her death came after she bravely told him she wanted to leave. The day after the murder, Knight attempted to cover his tracks by asking his mother to care for their kids, claiming illness. He then made several failed suicide attempts, eventually crashing his car in a McDonald’s car park, where police became suspicious and uncovered the crime.
Izzy’s grieving family described her as “beautiful, inside and out”. Her mum, Helena, shared, “Izzy was more than a victim. She was a loving mother, treasured daughter, and a talented artist. Her laughter, hard work, dreams, and love for her children will never be forgotten.”
