Tragedy strikes in Braintree, Essex, as young Frankie-Rae Law, aged just 11, sadly passed away after experiencing what was thought to be a minor ailment. On Friday, November 14, Frankie-Rae complained of a sore throat. His mum, Keleigh, took him to the GP, where they were reassured it was “just a virus.”

However, the situation took a sudden turn for the worse. Frankie-Rae, while playing and laughing like any other day, began gasping for air. Just hours later, his mother found him collapsed in their home. Despite frantic efforts from paramedics and doctors, the vibrant boy couldn’t be saved.
Keleigh described the sheer horror she felt as Frankie-Rae approached her, struggling to breathe. “He is pacing up and down because he was so scared, and within two minutes he went eerily silent,” she recounted. In despair, she realized the gravity when she found Frankie slumped over in the bathroom, unresponsive.

Even with the dedication of eight paramedics, police, and a specialised heart team, the family faced devastating news. Doctors at Broomfield Hospital worked tirelessly, but tragically, Frankie-Rae passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, surrounded by love from his mum.

Now, the family is searching for answers as they await results to understand why their precious son was taken so abruptly. Described as a “lovable child” with a smile that “lit up a room,” Frankie-Rae is deeply missed. His legacy of love is evident from the outpouring of support from friends, family, and even strangers. Over 40 bunches of flowers, teddies, and heartfelt cards have been placed in his memory.
In these trying times, the family has set up a GoFundMe page to ensure Frankie-Rae gets the send-off he truly deserves. As they grieve, they cherish the memories of a beloved son, friend, and a shining light. Rest in peace, Frankie-Rae. 🌟
