🚨 Travel Alert! 🚨 Ryanair has just cancelled flights to some of your favourite Spanish holiday spots: Alicante, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Tenerife. Disruption is due to a major baggage handler strike that’s set to last until the end of the year, throwing a spanner in the works for many summer holiday plans.
The strike orchestrated by Spain’s UGT union involves workers from Azul Handling, Ryanair’s ground handling division at 12 Spanish hubs, and will heavily impact key airports including Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, and more! Three bustling times of the day will take the biggest hit: early morning, midday, and late night.
While Ryanair confidently claims there won’t be major disruptions, travellers are already receiving alerts about changes to their plans. If your plans are affected, you have the option to get a full refund, travel voucher, or rebook onto a different flight.
