🚨 Attention Travellers! Major Passport Update 🚨

Planning a getaway next year? If you hold dual citizenship, there’s a new rule you need to know! Starting 25th February 2026, if you’re a British dual citizen, you’ll need a valid UK or Irish passport—or another passport with a certificate of entitlement—to travel to the UK.

Why the change? 🤔 It’s all about the new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), aiming for quicker and more secure border control. This digital ‘passport’ isn’t a visa, but it is crucial for travel to the UK, allowing multiple trips up to six months over two years. You can easily apply online via the GOV.UK website, and it’s just £16.
Remember, having an ETA doesn’t mean automatic entry but is necessary for boarding transport to the UK. Avoid nasty surprises at the airport, like being denied boarding. Make sure your documents are ready!
For those planning visits beyond February, make sure your paperwork is in order! Anyone without the correct documents might face extra identity checks and delays upon arrival.
