✨ State Banquet Delights! ✨

In a lavish nod to US President Donald Trump, a bespoke cocktail is taking centre stage at the state banquet held in his honour. 🍹 This exclusive transatlantic whisky sour is a delicious blend of UK and US flavours, featuring Johnnie Walker Black and marmalade, crowned with pecan foam and garnished with a star-shaped marshmallow biscuit – echoing the warmth of a fireside S’more. 🔥⭐️

🥃 Though Mr Trump abstains from alcohol, the White House is well aware of the thoughtful touches bringing this banquet to life. Toasts include a special 1945 Warre’s vintage port, symbolising Trump’s status as the 45th (and now 47th) US President, and a Hennessy 1912 Cognac honouring his mother’s birth year. A Bowmore Queen’s Cask whisky nods to his Scottish roots. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
The enchanting evening continues with a sumptuous menu: Hampshire watercress panna cotta to start, followed by Norfolk chicken ballotine with courgettes, and a bombe glacée cardinal with Kentish raspberry sorbet for dessert. 🍰
Guests are surrounded by opulent blooms handpicked from the royal gardens, set amidst dazzling silver-gilt centrepieces. A 47.32-metre-long table, decked with 139 candles and 1,452 pieces of cutlery, hosts 160 representatives of Atlantic relations. 🌺🌿
🎶 The night unfolds with music by the Duchess of Edinburgh’s String Orchestra, featuring classics from Nessun Dorma to Rolling Stones’ hits.
After the splendour, leftover flowers find new homes in hospices and shelters, thanks to the charity Floral Angels. 🌸
Cheers to a night of elegance, tradition, and charming gestures! 🥂❤️
