A serious incident in Blaenavon, Torfaen has left a man in hospital with facial injuries following a suspected assault. On Tuesday afternoon, a residential street became the centre of police activity as two teenagers were arrested.
An 18-year-old was detained at a house on King Street on suspicion of assault after the alleged attack around 4.20 pm on 9 December. In an unexpected twist, an attempt by two men to evade officers resulted in a call to the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service when they were spotted on the roof of a property.
One of the rooftop figures, a 19-year-old, eventually came down and was arrested on suspicion of a Section 4A public order offence. Meanwhile, efforts are continuing to track down a third man believed to be involved in the incident.
