The UK Health Security Agency has issued yellow cold weather alerts for the North East and North West of England, warning of frosty conditions starting Monday, January 26 at 6 pm lasting until January 30. As temperatures plummet, it’s important to be mindful of our more vulnerable community members.
What does a Yellow Alert mean? 🤔
Vulnerable groups like the elderly or those with heart and lung conditions may find it tougher to cope with the cold. This alert is here to ensure they’re not left out in the cold – literally!
Here’s the latest from the Met Office: Expect a countrywide split in weather. The west may experience rain and milder conditions while the northeast could be swamped with wintry showers, and yes, snow might even touch down in some areas! 🌧️🌨️
