Simon, from Devon, always thought he had asthma due to lifelong breathing issues. Imagine his shock when, after facing fertility struggles, he discovered he was actually living with cystic fibrosis (CF), a serious genetic condition affecting over 11,000 people in the UK. His journey took a surprising twist that not only redefined his past but also reshaped his future.
After realising what had been overlooked for years, Simon embraced his newfound perspective, channelling his energy into fitness as his primary form of therapy. This drive led him to conquer the TCS London Marathon, where he raised nearly £3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust!
But that’s not all. The best part of Simon’s story? He’s now a proud dad to a beautiful daughter, Ava, who was born healthy after successful IVF treatment. Becoming a father has inspired Simon to live life to the fullest and be the best version of himself for his little girl. 🎉👨👧
He shares, “Having Ava gives me a whole new outlook. She motivates me to seize every day and enjoy each moment with her. I want to raise awareness about CF so others don’t have to go through life without knowing.”
