๐ถ Heartwarming news alert! ๐ถ

Nettie Burtenshaw, a passionate choir singer from Penarth, has defied the odds and wowed the crowd one more time! After being diagnosed with cancer in 2021, Nettie thought her days on stage with her beloved choir were behind her. But thanks to some incredible volunteers, she reunited with the Rock Choir for a breathtaking performance at Cardiff Castle!

Transported by off-duty ambulance workers from the University Hospital of Wales, Nettie became the 100th patient to benefit from the amazing Wish Ambulance initiative. This heartfelt programme by the Welsh Ambulance Service helps terminally ill patients fulfil their dreams, offering special journeys to cherished destinations. From concerts to birthdays, these volunteers are spreading joy across Wales! ๐

Reflecting on her moment at Cardiff Castleโs Forever Flowers Celebration, Nettie said, “It was amazeballs to be performing again! I never thought Iโd make it. Seeing the surprised faces of my fellow choir members was priceless. Huge thanks to the angels who made it happen!”
Wish Ambulance volunteers have been creating magical memories since 2019, all while donating their precious time off. Caring, compassionate, and full of dedication, they are the true heart of this initiative. ๐
