ππ Balloon Fiesta Drama! ππ

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is off to a flying start with a bit of drama! During the mass launch of balloons, where 90 magnificent balloons took to the skies, one balloon had a little adventure of its own. The JLL-branded balloon was spotted drifting off course, getting up close and personal with the rooftop of Oasis Academy Connaught. π²

It all happened around 7 am when a resident from Knowle West noticed the balloon flying a tad too low and decided to hit record. Stephanie, a 22-year-old lash technician and the quick-thinking resident, captured the moment the balloon’s basket seemed to tip precariously. She recalled, “I thought ‘that one is looking a bit low’ and pressed record. It must have been scary.” The footage shows the balloon hitting the school roof with a loud thud, its envelope shuddering while desperately firing up those burners for altitude. π₯π«

Thankfully, the pilot was able to regain control, and no one was injured. The fiesta organisers confirmed: “Despite the close call during this morning’s incredible ascent, everyone landed safely, and we’re eagerly anticipating a fantastic weekend ahead.” π
