Brace yourselves, folks! After a day of torrential downpours, more than 50 areas in Wales are still facing the threat of flooding. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has issued severe warnings after record rainfall on Monday, hitting south and west Wales hard.

🚧 Roads are closed and trains cancelled as the nation deals with the aftermath. Cwm Dyli Hydro Power Station in Eryri recorded a whopping 127mm of rain, while Trehebert in Rhondda Cynon Taf wasn’t far behind with 91mm!

📢 As of this morning, nine urgent flood warnings are still active. NRW insists on “immediate action,” with flooding expected in several areas. Additionally, there are 44 flood alerts issued, warning locals to be prepared for potential floods affecting low-lying lands and minor roads.

🌊 Keep an eye on coastal areas as well, where spray and wave overtopping might occur.

☔️ While there’s no rain warning for today, the Met Office predicts the weather will remain unsettled. Expect showers, possibly blustery, with hail and thunder, interspersed with sunny spells. Max temperatures are expected to reach 10°C.
