🚨 Major Water Outage in North Wales! 🚨

Thousands in North Wales have been hit by a major water outage after a burst main in Flintshire caused significant disruption. Welsh Water’s temporary fix hasn’t held up, leading to the declaration of a “major incident.” Communities from Deeside to Talacre are affected, with some residents in Ffynnongroew facing dry taps for five days straight.

In response, bottled water is being distributed to affected areas, with stations currently set up at Ffynnongroew Canolfan, Talacre Community Centre, and the Jade Jones Pavilion in Flint. More stations are expected to be announced soon to support those in need.
Dŵr Cymru’s Chief Exec, Peter Perry, has apologised for the chaos and assured everyone that repair teams are working tirelessly. The repair job is challenging due to the pipe being buried four metres underground amidst electric cables. Crews are on the job around the clock, with hopes to wrap up repairs by the end of today.
However, it might be a bit longer until everyone has a steady flow of water again as the network needs time to refill. Perry expressed gratitude for the community’s patience, acknowledging the disruption to homes and businesses.
Stay tuned for updates, and if you’re in the area, keep an eye out for additional bottled water station announcements. 💧
