Firefighters are battling a massive wildfire near the A465, believed to have been started deliberately. This dangerous blaze, burning since Saturday, has claimed the lives of two horses and ravaged the environment between Abergavenny and Tredegar. 🚒
Teams from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) have been tirelessly working to control the flames, using drones and specialised equipment to protect homes, wildlife, and farmland.
Matt Jones from SWFRS shared the difficulties crews face: rough terrain and challenging conditions. “Deliberate fires like this risk lives and harm communities,” he said.
