Despite warnings, some visitors ignored advice against lighting BBQs and campfires, putting this beautiful area at risk. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) had to act fast, closing roads and urging folks to stay away while firefighters tackled the blaze.

Visitors were asked to steer clear to give firefighters space to do their critical work. However, some still ventured through the forest, even though the roads were shut and wardens did their best to enforce the closure. 🚫

This wasn’t just a one-off incident. Just eight days ago, the same beach faced its first-ever lockdown due to an overwhelming number of illegal campers. The community remains on edge, as the dry conditions continue to heighten fire risks.

Local NRW representatives made it clear: camping and BBQs are a no-go! They stated, “A single spark can devastate habitats, wildlife, and put people in harm’s way.”

Let’s cherish and protect our stunning landscapes for everyone to enjoy. Follow the rules and help keep Traeth Llanddwyn and Newborough Forest safe. 💚

Stay mindful and enjoy the scenery responsibly. Let’s ensure this special place continues to thrive. 🌿✨
