Exciting news for Barry Island! 🚧🍽️ The transformation of the iconic 100-year-old toilets at Nell’s Point into a stunning restaurant complex is finally making big strides! After facing a few setbacks, construction is now full steam ahead with the help of Next Colour, the folks who brought us the fab Oyster Wharf in Swansea.
The Grade II-listed building’s original features are being lovingly preserved. The roof is on, it’s watertight, and the stunning old 1920s terrazzo tiles are even being reused to add some classic charm to the new venue. The structural integrity work has been a labour of love, but it’s paying off beautifully.
Loungers, already a popular coffee-bar chain in South Wales, has been chosen to breathe new life into the site. Imagine sipping your latte while gazing out at breathtaking views over Whitmore Bay and the Severn Estuary! 🌊☕
