This weekend, Bale returned to Newport for the annual Gareth Bale Festival of Sport. Now in its fourth year, this incredible event at Celtic Manor Resort provided over 100 kids from underprivileged areas across South Wales with a unique opportunity to dive into a world of sports! 🏌️♂️🏏🛹
From golf to skateboarding to cricket and so much more, children got to try their hand at different activities, all thanks to the festival organised by StreetGames, Wales Golf and CAA Sports, with backing from the R&A. The goal? To inspire these kids to stay active, make new friends, and maybe even discover a lifelong passion. 🏅
“For me, it’s about giving back,” Bale shared. “Offering underprivileged kids the chance to try new sports and maybe change a couple of lives is incredible.” Even the chilly weather couldn’t dampen the infectious joy as kids learned new skills and made memorable experiences. 🌧️❤️
The festival wasn’t just about fun—it also featured the Gareth Bale Championship. With amateur golfers participating, this event showcased the beauty of competition and the potential pathways into the sport that Bale himself is so passionate about. ⛳
