🐾 A Holiday Cut Short Over a Dog Mix-Up! 🐾

Imagine kicking off your holiday, only to be sent home because of your dog’s breed! That’s exactly what happened to Stephen and Chloe Giles from Merthyr Tydfil during their getaway to Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Porthcawl. Just a day into their trip, they were told to leave because staff believed their furry friend, Brownie, was an XL bully – a breed banned in Wales and England without proper certificates.

Stephen and Chloe are adamant that Brownie is actually a pocket bully, a breed that’s perfectly legal. Despite showing paperwork to prove it, they were still asked to vacate. Chloe’s mum, Rebecca, expressed her frustration, highlighting that no issues had ever been raised about Brownie before, describing the pup as so gentle that “if a burglar came in, she’d lick them to death!”
A heart-breaking scene unfolded as Chloe, who faces severe learning and health challenges, was distraught over the incident. The family had always enjoyed their stays in Porthcawl without any trouble – until now.
Trecco Bay’s owners, Parkdean Resorts, have since apologised for the misunderstanding and offered a voucher for a future stay. “We want everyone to enjoy their time at our park,” said a spokesperson.
