After several failed landing attempts, they found themselves on the Manchester runway for hours, as the clock ticked past 11pm and passengers grew restless. Strikingly, there were even rumours circulating about police being involved after a passenger reportedly tried to open an emergency door!

Due to the havoc, the United Rugby Championship clash with Connacht set for Saturday at 1.45pm was postponed just before midnight. Connacht expressed their disappointment and extended apologies to all the affected supporters, reassuring them that their tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled game.
