What started as a typical evening turned into a life-changing event for Jayne Biggs, whose seven-year-old daughter, Violet, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Jayne, along with her husband Tony, performed CPR for seven critical minutes until paramedics arrived with a defibrillator, saving Violet’s life. Violet, diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome, now carries an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) to monitor her heart.

Motivated by their experience, Jayne founded Heart 2 Heart Norfolk, a charity dedicated to installing publicly accessible defibrillators and providing essential CPR training. Her efforts are a testament to the power of community, with over 400 defibrillators installed across Norfolk and Suffolk. Many lives have been saved thanks to these devices, which are often funded by generous individuals and not the government or NHS.

Jayne emphasises, “Cardiac arrest doesn’t discriminate. It’s vital we have these life-saving tools accessible.” To support Heart 2 Heart Norfolk, you can contribute through easyfundraising, a platform that turns everyday shopping into donations at no extra cost.
This initiative has already raised over £300, but the mission continues. For Jayne, every defibrillator represents a potential life saved, and each donation keeps the community safer. Join the cause and help make a difference—you could be saving a life just like Violet’s.
