A spokesperson for Gwent Police stated, “At around 6pm on Tuesday, April 22, we received a report of a road traffic collision heading west on the Prince of Wales Bridge between junctions 22 and 23.” The spokesperson went on to explain, “Officers attended along with paramedics and the Air Ambulance Service. The collision involved a pedestrian and a lorry.” The woman, identified as the pedestrian, sustained injuries and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her condition is reported to be non-life-threatening at this time.
