What a week it’s been for the coastguards in Llandudno! With the sun shining and everyone out enjoying the summer holidays, there’s been no shortage of drama along the Welsh coast.

This Saturday, a woman found herself in a sticky situation on the sheer cliffs of Little Orme, which rise 141 metres above the sea. Fortunately, our incredible coastguards were on hand, and the decision was made to call in the cavalry – a coastguard helicopter! The woman was safely airlifted to Bodafon fields, where she received medical attention and was joyfully reunited with her partner. πŸ’ͺπŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ’‘

The rescue was just one of many this week for these unsung heroes. Earlier, they responded to a range of incidents, from someone with a head injury on Penrhyn Bay beach to people stuck on a sandbank and a paddleboarder who, luckily, had everything under control.

7️⃣ Monitored a paddleboarder making their own way to safety.
