π Meet Neve Baker-Wright – a trailblazing 18-year-old running her very own pub! π»

In a bold move, Neve has taken over management of an 18th-century establishment in her home village, aiming to revitalise it for both loyal patrons and newcomers. Her journey began at 14, working as a pub waitress, and after finishing her A-Levels, she secured the lease from the former landlords. Talk about a leap of faith!

Neve’s determination shines as she balances keeping the cherished locals happy while attracting a younger crowd. The New Inn now features themed evenings, cocktail nights, and a friendly atmosphere for families. πΈπ€
Her journey started with scepticism at first. “Lots of people just said give it a shot,” Neve recalls. Unsure of what could go wrong, she found herself encouraged and inspired to rise to the occasion. Fast forward, and she’s thriving!
With her dad Andy as the pub chef, and her family helping spruce up the place, it’s a true team effort. The menu’s been refreshed with burgers, steaks, ribs, and pies. They’re even working on bringing in a new lager while maintaining a stellar selection of cask ales.
Andy believes in Neve’s potential, saying her enthusiasm will bring success and possibly inspire others. πͺ
Despite challenges facing the UK pub industry, Neve’s positivity and community support offer hope for a new wave of pub-goers. For her, the pub’s future is bright, filled with plans for live music, a family-friendly garden, and more.
Let’s raise a glass to Neve for breaking barriers and pouring new life into the local pub scene! π₯
