🎉 Dramatic Night Rescue on Anglesey Cliffs! 🚁

Two climbers faced a dramatic ordeal Saturday night when they got stuck on the towering 200ft cliffs near Elin’s Tower in South Stack, Anglesey. As darkness crept in, the rescue mission became even more challenging.
🚤 Enter the heroes: RNLI and Coastguard teams sprang into action! Using brand-new search lights on Holyhead RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat, rescuers illuminated the scene, while volunteer cliff rescue teams worked tirelessly to reach the stranded climbers.

💪 In an impressive display of teamwork, both the Trearddur Bay and Holyhead RNLI crews coordinated efforts. The lifeboats, ILB Mary and Archie Hooper, and the Trent-class Frederick Storey Cockburn were launched to assist, ensuring the climbers were safely retrieved after two intense hours on the scene.

👏 Major kudos to the local volunteer cliff rescue teams who acted swiftly and efficiently, managing to communicate with the climbers and ultimately bring them back to safety. Both adventurers were assessed and found to be in good health.
🌟 This mission marked the first use of the new ALB search lights, hailed as a tremendous asset in ensuring the successful and safe recovery of the climbers.
Let’s hear it for the RNLI volunteers who continue to be everyday heroes around our coasts! 🙌
