Exciting news for Tenby as supermarket giant Lidl has officially submitted plans for a spanking new store just outside town. Located at Park House Court, Narberth Road, this new location promises to bring 40 jobs to the area! 🛒
Lidl’s plans include a 1,969 sqm store with 103 parking spaces. After holding public consultations and receiving feedback from over 1,300 locals, a whopping 89% showed their support! 🙌
Lidl already has a strong presence in the UK with around 980 stores, and this new addition aims to boost the local economy and offer opportunities for training and career growth.
However, not everyone is on board. Pembrokeshire Council raised concerns about the store’s visual impact on the rural setting, especially given its proximity to the National Park. 🌳
While Tenby Town Council welcomes the investment and job prospects the new supermarket could bring, they also expressed worries about how it might change the landscape and affect traffic.
