🌟 Heads up! The Warm Home Discount Scheme is reopening this month, just as the chill hits! This programme offers a one-off £150 discount on your electricity bill to help UK households tackle soaring energy costs. Here’s what you need to know! 🏠💡

The discount will automatically reduce your electricity bill by £150 if you’re eligible. It applies to both standard and pre-pay meters. Got both gas and electricity from the same supplier? You might even qualify for a discount on your gas bill instead.

So, who qualifies? 👇
– Core Group 1: Recipients of the Guaranteed element of Pension Credit.
– Core Group 2: Those receiving certain means-tested benefits like Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and more.
To qualify, you or your partner must be named on the electricity bill as of 24 August 2025 and be with an eligible energy provider. If you’re eligible, expect a letter between now and January 2026. Didn’t get one? Reach out to the helpline by February 2026 to confirm details.
However, if your energy supplier isn’t part of the scheme, or you’re not on the electricity bill, you might not qualify. Even so, the eligibility criteria have broadened, and more low-income households might be eligible this year.
Energy suppliers part of the scheme include British Gas, Octopus, E.ON, and many more. 🌐
Don’t miss out on this crucial support if you’re eligible! If you didn’t receive your discount for winter 2024-25, contact your supplier if you were eligible. Stay warm and informed! 🔥
