Last year, Plumb was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 16 years in prison for his horrific intentions to kidnap, rape, and murder the former “This Morning” host.
His plans were disturbingly detailed, even including ambitions to ambush Holly at her home and take her to a dungeon-style location. Messages exchanged by Plumb contained distressingly graphic details, shocking even seasoned professionals. During his trial, it was revealed Plumb started formulating this sinister plot back in 2011.
Thankfully, a US undercover police officer exposed Plumb’s plan, leading to the intervention of UK authorities. A raid on his flat revealed alarming items like chloroform and an “abduction kit.” Despite his defence claiming these were just fantasies, the court wasn’t convinced, stating it was far more serious than that.
In court, Holly bravely waived her right to anonymity, highlighting the impact this ordeal has had on her life. Plumb’s attempt to reduce his sentence was dismissed, with the judges upholding the original verdict. The court found the danger he posed too significant to ignore.
