Ceri Ball, a beloved mother and grandmother from Newport, sadly passed away on her holiday in Spain after choking on a piece of steak. Ceri, 74, was dining with her husband Glyn, 77, in Peñíscola when the unfortunate incident occurred. Despite efforts from the restaurant staff and paramedics, the damage was too severe, and she passed away in hospital.

In honour of the incredible help they received from The Repatriation Services Trust, Lisa has created a GoFundMe aiming to raise £2,000 for the charity. This organisation, founded by Linda and Steve Bassett after their own tragedy in 2017, has been a lifeline, alleviating the financial burden and offering unwavering support.

Lisa expressed gratitude for the charity’s response: “They’ve taken that financial strain from us. Without their help, all our savings would have been wiped.”

The family hopes to bring Ceri back home from Spain by Friday, and they remain heartbroken. Anyone who wishes to support the cause can donate to the GoFundMe and help support this vital charity’s mission.

Rest in peace, Ceri. Your memory will live on in the hearts of your loved ones. ❤️
