🚗💰 Heads up, beach lovers! Parking prices at Pembrokeshire’s stunning coastal locations are set to increase next year, with some rates going up by as much as 100%.

From March 1st, new charges at 14 car parks across the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park will kick in. While shorter stays remain affordable, such as up to 30 minutes still being free and up to an hour priced at £1.50, longer visits will see a hike. Expect £4 for up to two hours and £8 for all day. And coach parties, take note – your all-day rate is up to £16.

Why the change? The park authority aims to keep up with inflation and cover compulsory costs like supporting the local Coastal Bus service and maintaining public toilets. Rising costs and drops in core funding mean that every penny counts, and the goal is to achieve a balanced budget while still providing quality services.
These revisions are forecasted to boost vital revenue by about £300,000, helping to tackle predicted financial challenges.
Planning a beach day or exploring those picturesque coast paths next year? Make sure to keep the new rates in mind! 🌊🏞️
