📢 **Protests Set to Hit Wales: Stand Up for Palestine!** 📢

Heads up, Wales! Protests are about to sweep through Cardiff and Aberystwyth next month as part of a massive nationwide movement. The demonstrations, organised by the campaign group Defend Our Juries, aim to lift the ban on Palestine Action. It’s part of a wider movement taking place in over 18 towns and cities across the UK.
Organisers predict that around 1,500 passionate supporters will step out to voice their opposition to the ban, which criminalises any support for the direct action group. The prohibition came into effect on July 5, and since then, over 2,000 people have faced arrest. Supporters are sticking by the motto: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”

In a bid to bring more attention to their cause, some defendants are even planning hunger strikes starting this Sunday. These individuals have been charged due to alleged involvement in vandalism at an Israel-based defence firm’s UK site and damage to two aircraft at RAF Brize Norton.

Dr Clive Dolphin from Defend Our Juries emphasised the British public’s right to protest against government actions they believe are wrong: “This is about standing up to perceived injustice and showing that we oppose genocide. Nobody wants to be complicit in war crimes.”
While England and Scotland have seen numerous arrests under the ban, no arrests have been reported in Northern Ireland. A court case challenging the ban is set for late November, thanks to legal action by co-founder Huda Ammori.
Stay tuned as this story develops, and mark your calendars for next month’s big events! 🌍✊
