π Exciting news for families! π The Welsh Government has extended its Β£1 bus fare scheme, making it cheaper for kids and young adults aged 5 to 21 to travel across Wales! π Going back to school just got a bit easier for many, as young as five can now benefit from this fantastic deal starting November 3rd. π

Originally launched as a pilot in September, this initiative saw young people aged 16-21 accessing bus rides for just Β£1, reducing day tickets to Β£3. Now, even more youngsters can join in the savings! π€
All you need to do is remember these three key things:
1οΈβ£ The offer is valid for trips starting or ending in Wales. Enjoy journeys to the first stop in England too, depending on your route. πΊοΈ

2οΈβ£ If you’re 16-21, grab a free mytravelpass to verify your age and score those cheap fares. Younger kids don’t need a pass. π
3οΈβ£ Make sure you buy tickets directly from drivers or via apps since Tap In, Tap Out services aren’t included yet. π±
From helping access school, work, or leisure activities, the scheme is set to reduce the cost-of-living burden and promote greener travel habits. A whopping Β£15m boost was allocated to bring this vision to life, making a difference nationwide with a special focus on rural areas. π
While this is available on all local bus services across Wales, remember it’s not valid with premium services like National Express, Megabus, or City Sightseeing buses. π«
Eluned Morgan, First Minister, assures, “Weβre breaking down travel costs barriers so no young person in Wales feels isolated.” πͺ
Letβs ride towards a more connected and sustainable future, one bus fare at a time! ππ
