๐๐ช Meet Sam, the Hero Rail Worker of Huntingdon! ๐ช๐

In a moment of chaos at Huntingdon station, Samir Zitouni, fondly known as Sam, emerged as a true hero. Despite the danger, Sam, a 48-year-old Customer Experience Host with over 20 years at LNER, stepped up to protect passengers during a mass stabbing incident on Saturday (November 1). ๐จ
Eyewitnesses have hailed Sam’s incredible bravery. As a colleague on the 18:25 Doncaster to London Kingโs Cross service, he put others before himself and managed to save numerous lives. The British Transport Police had nothing but praise, calling his actions โnothing short of heroic.โ ๐

Sam’s family is overwhelmed with gratitude, touched by the love and well wishes pouring in: “Sam has always been a hero to us, and his courage proves it to the world.” โค๏ธ

David Horne, Managing Director at LNER, shared powerful words of support: โIn a crisis, Sam didnโt hesitate. His actions were truly brave, and we couldnโt be prouder of him and all our colleagues who acted so courageously that night.โ ๐
Currently, Sam is receiving care in hospital, and our thoughts are with him for a speedy recovery. Letโs continue to show our support and send positive vibes his way! ๐๐ค
