**Shocking Attack Lands Man 27-Year Sentence**
In a dramatic and chilling turn of events, 35-year-old Ryan Leggett has been sentenced to 27 years behind bars after a violent assault on his partner. The victim, who had reunited with Leggett after a brief separation, spoke out about the trauma she continues to endure. Suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, she remains fearful of Leggett, even moving home out of fear, and describes feeling paranoid when out in public.
Leggett, who initially denied attempted murder, was convicted by a jury but pleaded guilty to a separate charge of threatening a person with a knife.
