🎉 David Beckham’s recent knighthood at Windsor Castle has been the talk of the town, and for one lucky reporter, meeting Sir Beckham on such a momentous occasion was unforgettable, but not without a twist! 🤔
Meet Alex Aljoe, a multilingual reporter who crossed paths with the iconic footballer at the FIFA Club World Cup. While catching up, Alex congratulated Becks on his new title and cheekily asked if he remembered their interview from his Real Madrid days, two decades earlier. Beckham confidently said he did, but Alex isn’t convinced – leaving her completely stunned! 😲
In a playful debate on “The Rest Is Football” podcast, Micah Richards jokingly suggested Beckham might’ve been stretching the truth, while Gary Lineker quipped, “Knights don’t lie!” 😂 To add to the fun, Richards offered to text Beckham for confirmation, only for Alan Shearer to hilariously shoot him down.
Beckham’s knighthood was a family affair, attended by wife Victoria and their children. Post-ceremony, an elated Becks commented, “I couldn’t be prouder. People know how patriotic I am—I love my country.” 🇬🇧
Whether or not Beckham truly remembered Alex, there’s no doubt he’s mastered the art of winning hearts both on and off the pitch! 💫
