Meet Rudi, a young lurcher whose story will tug at your heartstrings. Found in a dire state, Rudi was tied to a tree with wire at Tredegar Park golf club, severely malnourished and weighing just 11kg—about a third of a healthy lurcher’s weight. Thanks to the incredible dedication of staff at All Creatures Great and Small animal sanctuary, Rudi’s journey to recovery began.
When Rudi arrived at the sanctuary, he needed urgent veterinary care. Staff worked tirelessly, staying up through the night to feed him six times a day, ensuring a careful and gradual recovery. It wasn’t an easy road, but Rudi’s resilience shone through, and he’s now thriving in his forever home! 🏡❤️
But Rudi’s case highlights a growing issue of animal neglect and abandonment in our communities. The sanctuary has seen a rise in the number of malnourished animals arriving at their doors, urging pet owners to seek help early. There are local food banks and pet food banks ready to support those in need. 🤝
