🚨 Shocking scenes in Cardiff! 🚨

On bonfire night, Cardiff police found themselves under fire as individuals targeted them with fireworks during their patrols. 😱
South Wales Police reported a tidal wave of calls on Wednesday, logging 1,631 calls ranging from concerns about bonfires to emergency situations. Amidst the chaos, officers and their vehicles were aimed at with fireworks while ensuring community safety.

Chief Superintendent Marc Attwell expressed his concern: “It’s completely unacceptable for our officers to be subjected to such dangers. They’re here to keep us safe, and it’s fortunate no one was hurt.”
With robust patrol plans in place, officers were still able to respond to various incidents, including arrests related to serious offences. Attwell thanks those who celebrated responsibly, allowing law enforcement to work effectively.
