This week, holidaymakers experienced dramatic scenes, with roads and grassy areas at the park completely submerged. The extreme weather has turned parts of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire into a watery mess, affecting not just Kiln Park but the wider region too.

Evacuations have been in full swing with guests having to leave their caravans behind. The fire service has even had to rescue some trapped visitors! 🛶

Natural Resources Wales put out a severe flood warning for the River Ritec, which runs near Kiln Park. They have flagged significant disruption, with water levels remaining high for days, even as more rain is predicted.

Haven, the operator of Kiln Park, announced the site will stay shut until “at least Monday” to ensure everyone’s safety. They’ve apologised for spoiling holiday plans but your safety comes first! Refunds will be issued for those whose stays have been cancelled.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Kiln Park has faced flooding woes; past incidents in November 2023 and January 2024 showed us nature’s power. 🌊

Stay safe and dry, everyone! Keep those raincoats handy and look out for more updates. 🌧️💧
