Despite its impressive past accolades, it seems this former award-winner is having a rough patch under new management.
Beth Roberts from Llangoed shared her disappointing experience, mentioning the dreadful smells and unclean conditions during her stay. “We decided to leave early because we couldn’t bear it,” she explained. Many guests have echoed similar concerns, with complaints of unhygienic conditions and poor communication.
Owner Chris Dutton has acknowledged these setbacks but assured everyone that major improvements have been made. He highlighted investments in upgrades like wood-fired hot tubs and cinema screens in every accommodation, aiming to enhance guest experiences. Chris mentioned that their positive reviews on other platforms are not reflected on TripAdvisor due to it not being part of their booking sites.
But it’s not all negative! Some guests have enjoyed their time there, praising the cosy environment and friendly staff. Positive comments mention the lovely location, great facilities, and an enjoyable family atmosphere.
