Freddie Flintoff is back on our TV screens, hosting the new series of Bullseye this Sunday at 8pm on ITV! It’s a triumphant return for the beloved cricketer, three years after a terrifying Top Gear crash left him with life-changing injuries.

During the 2019 filming at Surrey’s Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, Freddie was involved in a severe accident while driving a roofless Morgan Super 3. As the car flipped, Freddie’s face tragically met the tarmac, resulting in significant injuries, including broken ribs, facial scarring, and damaged teeth. He endured a gruelling five-hour reconstructive surgery.

Freddie opens up about this life-altering experience in a candid Disney+ documentary. In a heartfelt account, he describes the surreal moments of the crash: “Rolling a car is bizarre. Everything slows down, and facing the ground, I realised my best chance was to go face down.” After smashing his jaw and being dragged along the runway, he recalls the terrifying fear of thinking his face could be gone, saying, “I didn’t think I had a face left.”

Despite the immense physical and emotional trauma, Freddie courageously confessed to sometimes wishing he hadn’t survived. He shares the conflicting feelings of relief and despair, reflecting on the challenges of recovery and how daunting it felt to face life after the accident.
Catch Freddie Flintoff on Bullseye as he continues to bounce back and light up our screens with his charismatic presence. It’s a testament to his resilience and determination to keep moving forward, despite the odds. Let’s cheer him on this weekend as he brings his charm and wit to our living rooms once again! 🎯🌟
