🚔 Big news on the M4! 🚔

Police made a dramatic arrest near Newport as part of a nationwide crackdown. The operation, which began over 200 miles away in Kent, led to the seizure of firearms, including a prohibited handgun, at a Swanley property. Officers swooped in on a Peugeot van on Alder Way, uncovering a Smith & Wesson revolver, a shotgun, and a self-loading rifle.

On the trail of these dangerous weapons, Kent Police teamed up with South Wales Police. The scent led them all the way to a location next to the M4. With the help of search dogs and drones, two men were quickly arrested, and a third followed later in the day.

Luke Carney, 27, from Swanley, is facing serious firearms charges and is set to appear in court next month. Meanwhile, two other suspects, aged 50 and 32, were arrested for assisting an offender and have been released on bail pending further investigation.
